Persian Cat

You need:
PSP Version 7.04
My selections and psp cateyes HERE
Unzip the selections in to your selection folder of psp and open the eyes in your psp.

1. Open an new image of 550 width by 450 height transparent 16 million colors.

2. Layer new rasterlayer and open the catbase selection by going to Selections/Load from disk.

3. Set your Foreground-color on gradient, click on the box and search for an gradient that you would like to use for your cat. I chose the foreground-Background gradient from PSP itself and had my Foreground set on black and my Background set on white, Angle on 90 and repeat on 15. Floodfill your selection now with your gradient. Select None.

4. Ok now we have to do some heavy work click on your  retouch tool with these settings:

5. Go to you catbase and smudge the edge of the cat see screenshot below:

6. Next we have to do the inside of the cat to let it look like a wild persian cat begin in the one color from your gradient and smudge it to one side do this by every stripe of the gradient see screenshot below:

7. If you're finished with point 6 here we are going to make it more wilder  now smudge in any direction with your retouch tool not much going over the same place just like the screenshot :

8. Okay we have done the body of the cat. Layer New rasterlayer and open the cattailca floodfill with your gradient. Select None. Do the same thing here as what you did with the body this is what it look now :

9. We are going to add a Dropshadow on the tail so it looks more real. Effects/ 3D Effects/ Dropshadow with these settings:

10. Layer new Raster layer. Go to Selections / Load from disk and open the catheadca , Floodfill your selection with the gradient. Here we do the same thing as we did with the body and the tail with the retouch tool you now have something that looks like this:

11. Effects/ 3D Effects/ Dropshadow with the same settings only set  vertical on 4.

12. Go to your layer palette and merge these visible layers ( If you have a background color set to see better shut that one off before you merge the cat layers). We are going to work on the tail again we want it to have it look good. Take your retouch tool again and try to smudge the end off the tail together with the body of the cat. see screenshot:

15. Layer new Raster layer, open the eyes in your  PSP click one of them and put it in place I have called them cateyeLca for left and cateyeRca for right. If you want them to have another color go to colors /colorize and try to find  the color that fits your cat.

16. Click on the airbruch with these settings:

Set your Foreground-color on white and spray two rounds on the face of the cat for the nose like the screenshot:

16. Layer new Raster layer. Set the size off the airbrush in your tooloption box on 5. Set your Foreground-color on black and make the lines for the nose see screenshot:

Got to your retouch tool with these settings:

and soften the mouth a little not the stripe of the nose:

17. Layer new rasterlayer. Click on your airbrush and make a triangle for the nose like this: Go to Effects / 3D effects / Inner bevel with the preset round and apply.

18. Click in your layer palette on layer 5 this must be the layer with the white for the nose and add a Dropshadow on it with these settings: Vertical--4, Horizontal--2, Tolerance--100, Blur--2. Go to your layer palette and shut off layer 1 merge the rest off the layers visible.

23. Last thing to do is to add some whiskers. Layer new Rasterlayer. I have used the airbrush here but you can do it with the drawtool also. Settings for the airbrush are size on 2 and the rest remains the same as we have used it in this tutorial before. Settings for the Drawtool are freehand and size two the rest unchecked. Now draw some whiskers fromout the center of the white from the nose to the side. Do as many as you want short or long.

On top of this tutorial you can see the result of this tutorial.

Hope you had fun doing my allergy free cat.
