Pattern Eggs

Easter Egg

You need:
PSP Version 7.04
My egg selection Here

1. Open a new image 500 by 500 transparant background.

2. Layer new raster layer.

3. Selection load from disk and find the egg-ca.sel, open it.

4. Floodfill the egg with a color, gradient or pattern of your choice.Keep the selection.

5. Layer new raster layer.

6. Click on the drawtool with these settings: freehand, linewidth 5 ( you may choose a thinner line if you want i begin with linewidth 5 and on the second layer i choose linewidth 2), solid line, antialias checked rest unchecked.

7. Set the foreground-color to a color of your choice, you can take a gradient or pattern too. Now draw line all over the egg like this :

Don't worry about the lines outside the egg we will fix it in the next step.

8. Selection/Invert, hit the delete key on the keyboard the lines outside the egg are gone. Selection /Invert. Keep the selection.

9. Effects/ Reflections Effects pattern with these settings:

You can to play with the columns and row and with the rotation to get a pattern that looks best on the egg the other settings have to be the same as here.

10. You can add as many layers a you want with any gradient ,color or pattern and make patterns over the others to get a great egg, just repeat step 7 to 9 again and play with the settings. Keep the selection on every new layer you make. If you have what you want go to the next step.

11. Select None. Layers/ merge visible. Selection load from disk and open the egg selection again. Selection / Invert. Selection / Modify/ feather by 3. Hit 3 time the delete key on your keyboard . Select None.

12. Effects /3D effects / Innerbevel with these settings:

Image resize with 60 %. Effects/ Sharpen/Sharpen. Edit / Copy and past as new image. You can now save the egg as a gif or jpg.
