We are going to make this stork.
The tube you create from this tutorial is yours.
(I used a photo of a real stork to make the tut)

Download here the selections and supplies..

Start by opening a new image 230x400 on a transparent background.

Open my legs.sel.
Flood fill the selections with the color #F4B066.

With the selection floating go to selections/invert.
With this new selection floating go to effects/3d effects/drop shadow.
And use these settings.

The shadow color is the color #000000.

Add a new layer.
Open my bill1.sel.
Flood fill the selection with the color #F4B066.
With the selection floating go to selections/invert.
With this new selection floating go to effects/3d effects/drop shadow.
And use the same settings as you used by the leggs.

Add a new layer.
Open my bill2.sel.
Flood fill the selection with the color #F4B066.
With the selection floating go to selections/invert.
With this new selection floating go to effects/3d effects/drop shadow.
And use the same settings.

Add a new layer.
Open my whitebody.sel.
And flood fill with the color #FFFFFF.

With the selection floating go to selections/invert.
With this new selection floating go to effects/3d effects/drop shadow.
And use these settings.

The shadow color is the color #000000.

Now deselect.
Go to effects/noise/add.
And add a 3% uniform noise.
After all these steps your stork should look like this.


Add a new layer.
Open my darkbody.sel.
And flood fill with the color #42494E.

With the selection floating go to effects/3d effects/drop shadow.
And use these settings.

The shadow color is the color #000000.

Now open my whitebody.sel again.
Go to selections/invert.
And go with this selection floating to edit/clear.
(this is to cut away the shadow outsite the stork)

Add a new layer.
open my eye.sel.
And flood fill with the color #000000.
Deselect the selection.
And paint with your paint brush a highlight into the eye.

I used the color white,a brush size of 1,and I painted 3 pixels.

Now go to effects/blur/gaussian blur.
and use a 0,75 blur.

Now go to effects/3d effects/drop shadow.
And use these settings.


Now go to Layers/merge/merge visible.
And your stork is ready.
