We are going to make this paperhat kid.
The tube you create from this tutorial is yours.
(I used a card to make my tut)

Download here the selections and supplies..

Start by opening a new image 300x500 on a transparent background.

Load my skinparts.sel and flood fill with the color #E2C3AE.
With the selection floating go to effects/3d effects/cutout.
And use these settings.

The shadowcolor is color #D6A584.
The interiorcolor is color #E2C3AE.

Now go to effects/noise/add.
And add a 3% uniform noise.

Add a new layer and open my cheeks.sel.
Flood fill with the color #D68C72.
Now load my sock1.sel and flood fill with the color #FFFFFF.
With the selection floating go to effects/texture effects/blinds and use these settings.

The color I used is the color #8C9EA8.

Add a new layer an open my eye.sel
Flood fill with the color #000000.

Open my shoe1.sel and flood fill with my shoetile.
Now go to selections/invert.
And go with this selection floating to effects/3d effects/drop shadow.
Using these settings.


Add a new layer and open my sock2.sel.
Flood fill with the color #FFFFFF.
With the selection floating go to effects/texture effects/blinds.
And use the same setting as you used by the first sock.

Add a new layer and load my shoe2.sel.
Flood fill with my shoe tile.
Go to selections/invert.
And go with this selection floating to effects/3d effects/drop shadow.
And use the same settings as you used by the first shoe.

Add a new layer.
Open my shirt1.sel and flood fill with my shirttile.

Add a new layer.
Load my pants1.sel and flood fill with my pantstile.

Add a new layer.
Open my shirt2.sel and flood fill with my shirttile.

Add a new layer.
load my pants2.sel and flood fill with my pantstile.
Go to colors/adjust/brightness and set the brightness to -10%.

Now deselect.
Go to layers/merge and merge layers visible.
Your image should now look this.


We are now going to do the shadows of the clothes.

Open my pantsline.sel go to colors/adjust/brightness and set the brightness to -40%.

Open my stitches.sel go to colors/adjust/brightness and set the brightness to 45%.

Open my shirtdark.sel go to colors/adjust/brightness and set the brightness to -25.

Open my shirtlight.sel go to colors/adjust/brightness and set the brightness to 25%.

Open my pocketoutl.sel go to colors/adjust/brightness and set the brightness to 25%.

Open my clothesdark.sel go to colors/adjust/brightness and set the brightness to -25%.

Open my clotheslight.sel go to colors/adjust/brightness and set the brightness to 25%.

Your image should now look this.


Add a new layer.
Open my hair.sel and flood fill with a solid hair color.
I used the color #644807.

Add a new layer.
Open my hat.sel and flood fill with a solid color.
I used the color #C9D3D9.

Now open my outlinehat.sel.
Go to colors/adjust/brightness and set the brightness to -40%.

Now open my hatdark.sel.
Go to colors/adjust/brightness and set the brightness to -35%.

Now open my hatlight.sel.
Go to colors/adjust/brightness and set the brightness to 35%.

Now deselect.
Merge layers visible and ready you are.
Resize your kid in the size you like.
