We are going to make this apple.
The tube you create from this tutorial is yours.
I did set my flood fill bucket's blend mode on normal and the match mode on none.
This way you flood fill all the floating selections in one time.
(I used a photo to make the apple)

Download here the selections and supplies..

Start by opening a new image 190x200 on a transparent background.

Open my apple1.sel and flood fill with the color #C6635A.

Add a new layer.
Open my apple2.sel and flood fill with the color #A44337.

Add a new layer.
Open my apple3.sel and flood fill with the color #762D25.

Add a new layer.
Open my leaves1.sel and flood fill with the color #738D62.

Add a new layer.
Open my leaves2.sel and flood fill with the color #567441.

Add a new layer.
Open my shine.sel and flood fill with the color #FFFFFF.

Add a new layer.
Open my stem.sel and flood fill with the color #804739.

Add a new layer.
Open my stem2.sel and flood fill with the color #63352C.

Deselect the selection.
Merge layers visible and your tube is ready.
