We are going to make a this boy Buddy.
I did set my flood fill bucket's blend mode on normal and the match mode on none.
This way you flood fill all the floating selections in one time.
(I used a coloring page to make the tut)

Download here the selections and patches.

Open a new image 240x400 with a transparent background.

The Shoes
Open the shoe.sel and flood fill it with the color #897411.
Deselect the selection.

Open the shoe2.sel and flood fill it with the color #000000.
Deselect the selection.

Add a new layer.
Open the shoe3.sel and flood fill it with the color #897411.
Deselect the selection.

Open the shoe4.sel and flood fill it with the color #000000.
Deselect the selection.

The Shirt
Add a new layer.
Open the shirt.sel and flood fill it with the color #B7D3D3.
